About Lakeside Cottages

Lakeside Cottages was started in the early 1950s by Bob & Mary Stenner–our road today is named after them as Stenner Road. Bob and Mary had a dream to build five beautiful cottages, all facing the lake and only feet away from the water edge. It was not long afterwards for these high standard cottages to start attracting visitor from home and abroad like a magnet. People come here for the great fishing experience, the miles and miles of stunning lake scenery and the magical sunsets that could take your breath away. Lakeside Cottages is one of the finest locations on Katchewanooka Lake, only 3 km from Lakefield village. It has an extraordinary climate, and is truly a hidden gem.

If you’re looking for a relaxing break away from the stressful city life, then the off peak season is a perfect choice–the weather is always nice in Paradise. As Lakeside is an ideal place for all, it is a great location for all and only 90 minutes north east of Toronto city. With multiple activities such as kayaking, canoeing, fishing, swimming, sand building, ping pong, tennis and so much more, families can be assured that everyone will enjoy a great summer vacation. On each unwind evening, campfires will be held out for guests to chat over the day’s events by the lake. For the fisherman you can even rent a boat and motor to fish on Lake Katchewanooka for the Pickerel, Walleye, Pan Fish, Sunfish, Bass, Carp and even the elusive Muskie if you are lucky enough to catch one!
